Who am I?

I’m just a 50-something gal still learning new things. Homesteader of sorts, gardener for sure, enjoy the kitchen, quite interested in good wholesome nutrient-dense food and herbal remedies.

I’m also a bit of a Jane-of-all-trades because it seems like there’s something interesting about most things, so why not learn? I have always liked woodworking, construction of small things, jerry-rigging when the “right” stuff isn’t available, even inventing my own solution that isn’t available off-the-shelf. Engineering was one of my interests when looking at post-secondary education. Flying was another, but it wasn’t a big industry back then out here in Saskatchewan. It would unfortunately have been as some say, pouring money into a hole in the sky.

Crafts galore throughout my life, I may just have a post here and there about them. Stories about my past and present life, maybe some genealogical tidbits (another thing I got a couple of certificates in), you just never know what I’ll put out there, so keep an eye out and come along with a Saskatchewan gal on this journey we call life.

Why subscribe?

All my material will be free for as long as I can justify it, but of course life doesn’t work on smiles alone (wouldn’t that be nice?) so I would be eternally thankful to anyone who is able to give a paid subscription.
